China New Energy (AIM:CNEL)
China New Energy ("CNE") is a technology, process and engineering solutions provider for bioethanol and biobutanol projects focusing predominantly on the construction of ethanol production plants. CNE provides its services to primary producers and users of bioenergy and the Group's activities are principally based in China. However, it also provides services to overseas customers in areas including Romania, Taiwan, Russia, Thailand and Indonesia.
Jade Biofuel Resources
Jade Biofuel Resources is acquiring a portfolio of agricultural assets that produce biofuel feedstocks. In particular, the company is seeking cassava and jatropha, as well as cellulosic materials that can be used to produce bio-ethanol, bio-diesel and n-butanol. The company is focusing on assets in Africa, India and Southeast China.
Clean Blue Sky
Clean Blue Sky provides a robust, new global standard for voluntary black carbon offset projects. It ensures that carbon offsets generated from the reduction of black carbon can be trusted by buyers and have real environmental benefits. Black Carbon is arguably the second largest contributor to global warming after carbon dioxide and reducing black carbon may be the cheapest way of slowing the rate of climate change.

The Carbon Advisory assists businesses to generate carbon credits and carbon-finance projects that reduce carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. Jade Clean Technology
Jade is developing a portfolio of exceptional clean-technology and low-carbon energy projects world-wide. They are commercialising Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) technology enabling coal to be used as a low-carbon fuel. Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) is a process of extracting the energy value from coal without mining it – instead the coal is gasified in-situ at high temperature and then extracted as a hydrogen and methane rich gas known as synthesis gas or syngas. Syngas can readily be converted into electricity, used for cooking and heating applications or as a chemical feedstock for synthetic fuels (DME, Methanol), iron production or ammonia based fertilisers.
